The Sacramento Kings trolled Steph Curry perfectly over his moon landing comments
The NBA is hailed by some as being the best competition for drama and pettiness in the world. And once again, fans were reminded why.
Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry left plenty of people (not just in the basketball community) perplexed when appearing on the Winging It podcast, the two-time NBA MVP cheekily questioned the legitimacy of the original moon landing.
Curry has since clarified he had been joking.
“Obviously I was joking when I was talking on the podcast,” Curry said.
“I was silently protesting how stupid it was that people actually took that quote and made it law as, ‘Oh my God, he’s a fake-moon-landing truther.'”
However that didn’t stop the Kings from poking fun at Curry’s comments, airing a special presentation when announcing the Warriors players and staff as they walked onto the court.
