BetDeluxe

BetDeluxe is an Australia-based bookmaker that offers sports and racing betting with futures bets, protest payouts and more.

Popular on-track bookmaker, Noah Rose, licensed with the Victorian Bookmakers Association, founded BetDeluxe in a bid to expand his offering to punters both on and off the track.

We’ve explored what BetDeluxe has to offer account holders in relation to markets, odds, interface use and odds in our full review below.

Customer Service

We know major factors in choosing a bookie is knowing how they treat punters and to what extent they provide customer service.

BetDeluxe offers sufficient customer service to their account holders through the following:

On-site help chat assistant – we found this one-to-one customer service to be prompt and personalised in our test

Phone betting

Helpline open 9am-9pm everyday

Sports & Racing Markets

It’s no surprise that BetDeluxe has all the racing markets an account holder could want including Fixed and Tote markets plus punter-favourite exotics like Quinella, Exacta, Trifecta and First 4.

As for sports, there are plenty of events to bet on with the major codes AFL, NRL, NBA, tennis and soccer all covered with popular markets such as H2H, Line, Total Points, Results by Half and more. For individual try scorers, you may need to look elsewhere or check back closer to the game start.

It’s worth noting that the BetDeluxe Same Game Multi product follows a ‘story mode’ theme which provides variety against the pack.

While there are a number of other local and international sports available, BetDeluxe is not a big player in novelty markets.

Overall, the selection of markets is okay though not as extensive as what we’ve grown used to seeing with other bookmakers.

Odds

Looking at some random markets, we checked to see what odds the Sydney Roosters were paying against the Manly Sea Eagles (17 September) and at the time of checking the odds were as follows:

BetDeluxe: $3.93

Sportsbet: $4.05

PlayUp: $4.10

TAB: $4.00

Neds: $4.00

Ladbrokes: $4.00

While this instance shows that BetDeluxe might not be the ideal option, it’s still a good idea to check and compare.

Interface and Ease of Use

The BetDeluxe site, like a lot of new online bookies, uses BetMakers technology which provides a familiar layout for regular online punters, polished with the BetDeluxe salmon hue.

The site is incredibly easy to navigate; starting with “Next to Jump” at the top of the page which directs you straight to the next in line markets for quick bets. The only downside of this feature is that it doesn’t automatically refresh so it’s best to check it out before navigating through the rest of the site.

The racing and different sports sections are listed on the left-hand-side menu, and you can quickly navigate to popular markets under “Featured Events”.

Betting Apps

Apps for Android and iOS devices are available through Google Play and the App Store respectively, with both apps offering the same features of the full site.

Special Offers and Welcome Bonuses

Due to strict regulations, bookmakers are no longer allowed to promote any special deposit bonuses or deposit matches as these are considered an ‘inducement’ to open an account. You must create an account and log in to see their latest offers.

What sets BetDeluxe apart?

Not a whole lot if we’re completely honest. BetDeluxe are a decent Australian based bookmaker that has everything a punter needs to place a bet.

A lot of the BetDeluxe offers seem to be copy and paste jobs from other bookmakers. We’re not complaining though as these offers are popular with punters, so they’re doing their best to give punters what they want.

While they may not stand out compared to some of the leading bookmakers, BetDeluxe is certainly an option for any punter looking for a trustworthy site to place a bet on.

Responsible Gambling

Like all reputable, licensed bookmakers, BetDeluxe offers responsible gambling help. If your gambling is getting out of hand or to be more than you can afford, you can set limits to how much you deposit, and have the option to temporarily or permanently self-exclude.

Any negatives?

There are no significant negatives for BetDeluxe. They don’t offer anything different to other bookmakers, which is why we consider them to be towards the lower tier of bookmakers, but a decent one nonetheless.

If you’re not expecting all the bells and whistles, there’s no reason not to try BetDeluxe for some action.

Conclusion

If all you’re looking for is somewhere to place bets on the most popular events and markets, then you could do a lot worse than BetDeluxe. The site might not be up to the same standard as some of the bigger corporate bookies, but it doesn’t hurt to have another bookie available in your repertoire to compare odds and find the best price.
