Your Roar account: Tips and common questions

Wondering whether to take the plunge and sign up for a Roar account? Or just confused about how it all works? Having a Roar account is the only way to keep track of all your comments, articles and activity on The Roar.

It also allows you to access features like having a bio, adding flair to your account as well as get you some sweet swag when you make it to Guru.

We’d encourage all of you to sign up and join the conversation right away.

Should I create an account?

By logging in, you’re able to:

  • Keep all your articles in one place
  • See all the comments you’ve made since you started it
  • Advertisement
  • Keep track of how many people have read your articles
  • Progress up the ranks, getting you access to more and more benefits
  • Be a permanent part of the community!
  • Here’s a list of benefits you get from signing up and levelling up!

    Do I have a Roar account?

    It’s very easy to mistake signing up for the newsletter with signing up for a Roar account. If you get the newsletter, that doesn’t mean you have an account with The Roar.

    So if you’re trying desperately to remember your password, try creating a new account instead.

    If you have one, the system will tell you your email is in use, and you won’t be allowed. Then get in touch and we can reset your password for you.

    Am I logged in?

    A simple question, which can have multiple answers.

    The first way to check is by looking for your profile picture in the navigation bar on the site. It’ll be there on both mobile and desktop versions of the site.

    How can I get the newsletter?

    That’s easy!

    When you sign up for an account, simply tick the box for whichever sports you’re interested in and you’ll automatically be put on the mailing list for each of those sports.

    Can I report troublesome commenters?

    We have a set of rules on The Roar, and moreover a spirit of healthy and good-natured discussion that guides everything we do.

    If you think someone is transgressing those rules, then please feel free to report their comment by clicking the flag icon in the top right-hand corner on every comment.
