The following Australian Sports CEO series articles appear as part of a 2015/16 initiative to hear from the heads of the major Australian sporting codes, exclusive to The Roar. It will involve Australia’s most important people directly addressing the fans on the state of their game.

In this series of articles, Bill Pulver (Australian Rugby Union), James Sutherland (Cricket Australia), David Gallop (FFA), Gillon McLachlan (AFL), and the new NRL CEO all share with The Roar their thoughts on the year that was, or will be, for their respective codes.

The first article in the 2015/16 series was from David Gallop, Football Federation Australia’s CEO.

DAVID GALLOP: Football needs to talk directly to the fans

The second piece was penned by the AFL’s Gillon McLachlan, on the future of the game and the need for inclusiveness.

Bill Pulver, ARU CEO, agreed to a long video interview for the third part of the series. You can watch the full interview here.
