The NRL stat that isn't one, but should be: Working out which forwards really pull their weight
Who are the hardest working big men in the NRL?
It’s offseason central on Episode 66 of the The Roar’s Game of Codes podcast, with the AFL draft and Josh Addo-Carr’s big career decision both going under the microscope, before we turn our attention to the A-League and Super Rugby.
We start over in rugby league with Roar NRL expert AJ Mithen as we look at the big rumours surrounding Melbourne winger Josh Addo-Carr. He allegedly wants a move to a Sydney club, the Storm apparently don’t want to lose him – how will it all play out? Which clubs are in the best position to sign him?
Then, it’s over to the A-League with Roar football expert Matthew Galea. The Western Sydney Wanderers have lost three on the trot – where is it all going wrong for Markus Babbel’s men? Are they any chance of turning it around?
Next, we look back at the AFL draft with Roar expert Josh Elliott as we make a call on who the big winners and losers from draft day were, before making some absurdly early calls on who next season’s risers and fallers will be.
Finally, we finish up in rugby with Roar expert Brett McKay as we make a call on who the best Super Rugby championship side of the decade was.
