WWE Super Show-Down live updates, blog: Ronda Rousey, John Cena and more at the MCG - full card commentary

By Scott Pryde / Expert

The WWE will hit the Melbourne Cricket Ground for one of its biggest ever shows, with The Undertaker and Triple H main eventing a bumper card. Join The Roar for live coverage of each and every fight from 7pm (AEST).

In front of a likely audience of over 100,000 people, the WWE will put on a huge show, with stars of the present and yesteryear competing.

Three Australians on the company’s roster will also be on the show, with Buddy Murphy competing for the cruiserweight belt and The IIconics – Peyton Royce and Billie Kay – competing in a women’ tag match against former champion Naomi and Asuka.

Yet, the highlight of the night will be the return of The Undertaker. One of the biggest stars in sports entertainment history, he has a Wrestlemania record detailing more than 20 wins and will take on Triple H for the final ever time in a throwback to one of the Attitude Era’s best rivalries.

The ‘Taker will be joined by ‘brother of destruction’ Kane at ringside, while Triple H, now the company’s COO, will be joined by best friend and former D-Generation X tag team partner Shawn Michaels.

One of the more dominant factions in recent history, The Shield are also back together with universal champion Roman Reigns and intercontinental champion Seth Rollins joined by Dean Ambrose as they battle the monster Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre in a match which also seems sure to involve Baron Corbin at some point.

The rivalry has been building in recent weeks with Corbin acting general manager.

Speaking of rivalries, and they don’t get much more intense than Daniel Bryan and The Miz, who will finally clash after years of on and off back-and-forth, while AJ Styles puts his WWE Championship on the line against Samoa Joe in a no disqualification match.

New recruit Ronda Rousey will also be in action alongside The Bella Twins as they take on The Riott Squad, while John Cena will team up with Bobby Lashley against one of the company’s top heels in Kevin Owens and Elias.

Two more Smackdown titles are also on the line, with Charlotte Flair to face Becky Lynch in the women’s match and The New Day to defend against Cesaro and Sheamus.

Just how many title changes (if any) there will be in unclear, but it’s sure to be a ripping night of action, so join us here on The Roar from 7pm (AEST) for live coverage of all the matches and be sure to add a comment below.

As a longtime WWE fan, I'm thrilled to see legends like The Undertaker and Triple H return to headline such a monumental event. Their rivalry defined an era of wrestling that holds a special place in my heart, and witnessing them face off for what could be the final time is truly exciting. Additionally, having Australian talent like Buddy Murphy and The IIconics showcased on such a grand stage adds an extra layer of excitement and pride. I can't wait to witness the spectacle unfold at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and be a part of wrestling history.

What a twist! What the? They were all standing there, hands raised, then Kane goes after Michaels and the Taker hits Triple H with a tombstone piledriver. That came out of absolutely nowhere!

MATCH RESULT: Triple H defeat The Undertaker by pinfall Now The Undertaker has the sledgehammer, but he drops it. Why did he do that? Anyway, Triple H is body dropped, then chokeslammed and the Undertaker staggers around the other side, then sets up for a tombstone piledriver, only to eat sweet chin music from Michaels. The Undertaker stays up, sets up for a piledriver on Michaels, only to be hit by a sledgehammer from Triple H. Now The Undertaker cops sweet chin music and a pedigree. That is that. Triple H wins! What a match. An epic.

Shawn Michaels beats The Undertaker to the sledge hammer this time. He gets caught By Kane, and they both end up outside now with The Taker back up in one corner, Triple H still trying to get up in the other.

Hells Gate locked in! The Undertaker has locked in his submission hold. Even if Triple H taps, there is no referee to end it. He still has the sledgehammer though and he will try to break the hold. He does. Both men go to the canvas lifeless. Round of applause from the crowd, no referee.

Wow. Triple H hits the chair with the hammer and it goes flying out of the ring. Both men down, Triple H manages to cover The Taker, but there is no referee. No count, the match will continue.

Sledgehammer! Triple H is down, but he has the hammer. The Undertaker, granted, is also down in the other corner. Michaels sore, Kane struggling as well. The Taker has a chair, The Game has a hammer. Wow.

Triple H off the second rope. He hits the chair on the face of The Undertaker and that's gotta be it. 1-2-3. No! Kane pulls the referee out of the ring, so we will continue.

Undertaker with another huge chair shot to the spine. You'd think he is being built to win this but who knows.

Undertaker with a boot to the head of Triple H as he goes back to the ground. We have no referee, and the Taker with a chair. No DQ starting to backfire on Triple H as he cops another shot to the spine.
