Fighter's cheeky prank at the weigh-ins for UFC Phoenix
For most fighters, the weigh-ins are serious business.
But apparently not always for American fighter Jimmie Rivera.
The 29-year-old will take on his compatriot Aljamain Sterling at UFC Phoenix on the preliminary card after he successfully made weight for the bantamweight clash.
However first, he had some fun with officials and reporters present, cheekily pretending he was naked under his towel and asking to be covered before abruptly dropping it – to fortunately reveal at least some clothing underneath.
“He totally fooled me,” one commentator laughed, “I thought we were about to have a terrible moment there”.
For Rivera, who boasts a record of 22 wins from 24 bouts, his fight against Sterling will be the third bout he has competed in since June last year.
