Following their own face off ahead of their heavyweight bout, tensions reportedly continued to simmer behind the scenes between Super Samoan Mark Hunt and Justin Willis.
Reporters on the scene captured vision where fellow Aussie fighter Tai Tuivasa can be heard berating Willis, while security intervened.
Speaking to Submission Radio, Tyson Pedro, who will take on Mauricio Rua in the co-main event, refused to detail what exactly Willis had done to cause the incident but reiterated he had been disrespectful towards Hunt.
Though Hunt is understood to not be planning on retiring, his upcoming fight against Willis is likely to be his final in the UFC.
