Jorge Masvidal’s flying knee didn’t just shock his opponent Ben Askren at UFC 239 in Las Vegas.
The American’s five-second knock out blow, which is officially the fastest ever finish in the history of the UFC, also stunned another star of the octagon in interim middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.
The Kiwi, who will soon take on Australian fighter Rob Whittaker for the full middleweight title, was in the middle of being interviewed by TSN Sports reporter Aaron Bronsteter when Masvidal’s vicious knee landed.
And as Adesanya himself later said on Twitter, his reaction was “as real as it gets”.
