Kiwi Dan Hooker stuns with first-round knockout

Dan Hooker has returned to the winner’s sheet at UFC San Antonio.

At the end of 2018, the New Zealander suffered his first defeat in four fights when he was overpowered by Edson Barboza.

However, the Kiwi came back with a bang in Texas, stunning James Vick in the opening round.

Faking to go with his right hand, he fittingly unleashed a brutal punch worthy of his name with his left to catch Vick by surprise and send the American to the canvas.

The victory is Hooker’s 18th in professional MMA fighting and his eighth from 12 fights in the UFC.
