'Like a dagger into my heart': Conor McGregor on pub incident

By The Roar / Editor

UFC star Conor McGregor has conveyed his regret and shame over an incident in an Ireland pub.

Controversy once again erupted around the Irish sensation as vision released by TMZ earlier this month showed McGregor appearing to strike a 50-year-old man who had been sitting at a bar in Dublin.

The incident occurred in April and police were reported to still be investigating the matter.

Speaking to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, McGregor apologised for his actions saying watching them back is like “a dagger” to his heart.

The 31-year-old has been plagued by a string of incidents in recent years, including a bizarre attack on a bus featuring a number of his UFC competitors last year, and having been accused of smashing a man’s phone in March before charges were later dropped.

Yes but this is ridiculous. The guy bought his way out of jail in the USA. Now he is back home and acting like a pathetic grub again. So give up drinking Conor if you're up to it. Otherwise a lengthy prison sentence is in order. And you do look like a crim. A rich one currently but if you're as stupid as you act you'll blow it all.
