WATCH: Toronto Wolfpack's Darcy Lussick KOs Justin Hodges in less than a minute

Former Manly Sea Eagles hardman turned Toronto Wolfpack star Darcy Lussick has tasted sweet success on his boxing debut, knocking out Justin Hodges in under a minute.

Hodges, who retired in 2015 after captaining the Brisbane Broncos, was in the third fight of his boxing career after going 2-0 in his first two professional bouts.

He took down Rob Baron in February this year then Troy McMahon in May, both times fighting on the same card as Tim Tszyu, which he did again tonight.

The fight seemed a steady one early with both boxers feeling each other out, but Lussick quickly turned aggressive and delivered a devastating right-hand blow that sent Hodges to the floor.

Lussick played 112 NRL games across two separate spells at the Manly Sea Eagles and three years with the Parramatta Eels between 2011 and 2017.

In 2018 after reports of a verbal altercation with then-Manly coach Trent Barrett, he left the club to sign with the Toronto Wolfpack, with whom he’s played 23 games.

Hodges played 254 games in a career spanning sixteen years, enjoying a brief three-year spurt with the Roosters before returning to Brisbane.

He represented Queensland 24 times, and Australia 13 times.
