One of two sides playing in the Victorian capital, the Melbourne Renegades have participated in the Big Bash League since its inception. They will likely play all of their home matches at Marvel Stadium this season.
Last season, the Renegades put up the worst title defence in BBL history, losing their first nine matches. Accordingly, the Melbourninans have made sweeping changes to the squad and have elected to go forward with a raft of fresh, young faces including Jake Fraser-McGurk and Mackenzie Harvey.
The new-look Renegades have also searched abroad to improve on last year’s disappointing performance, bringing number nine ranked T20I bowler Imad Wasim into the fold from December 26.
