Australia’s World Cup campaign continues against an associate nation in the Netherlands which has already caused one massive upset this tournament. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 7:30pm (AEST).

Australia haven’t been perfect this World Cup, but they are building towards their peak. David Warner and Mitchell Marsh have found some confidence with runs under their belt, while-leg spinner Adam Zampa has got his mojo back with consecutive world-class performances with the ball.

Travis Head is set to return to the Australian line-up from his broken hand, which will see Marnus Labuschagne make way.

The Netherlands have shown great fight in each game they have played in this World Cup, and we should see the same in Delhi against the Aussies. While they have had issues in the top of the order, their middle order is arguably in the top three of the World Cup so far, with brilliant fightbacks against South Africa and Sri Lanka.

With Australia’s history against spin, Aryan Dutt and Roelof Van Der Merwe will be a handful should Delhi be a slow wicket.

Prediction

The Netherlands’ two glaring weaknesses when batting is how they play left arm seamers and wrist spinners. If Mitchell Starc and Adam Zampa get their radar right from the get-go, this could be a harsh lesson for the Dutch in the Indian capital.

Australia to win comfortably.
