Suddenly well and truly in the hunt for a semi-final spot at the T20 World Cup, Zimbabwe can follow up their shock win over Pakistan by upsetting another Test nation in Bangladesh. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 2pm (AEDT).

Bangladesh will be worried about their batting this World Cup so far. Nazmul Hossain, Soumya Sarkar and Liton Das have all got starts in this Super 12, but have failed to kick on with meaningful scores to put the opposition under pressure.

Nurul Hasan has looked out of sorts with the bat and should make way for Yasir Ali, with Liton Das to don the gloves.

The bowlers started well against South Africa, but struggled to stem the flow of runs once they were put under pressure. With the Gabba wicket not expected to spin, Ebadot Hossain could come in for Mehedy Hasan Miraz, or replace Mustafizur Rahman as the third seamer. Whatever they decide to do, Ebadot has to play for the Tigers at Brisbane.

Zimbabwe will be buoyed after defeating Pakistan and a win against Bangladesh will keep their semi-final hopes alive. However, their batting has to improve, just like the Tigers.

Someone in their top four has to take the game to Bangladesh, get a big score and stamp their authority.

Craig Ervine will be extremely pleased with the bowling performance in Perth to own Pakistan, as 130 is the second-lowest total defended in a completed T20I in Australia.

Momentum is all on Zimbabwe’s side right now. Bangladesh has some soul-searching to do following the thrashing to South Africa at Sydney.

However, how will Zimbabwe cope from a long flight from Perth to Brisbane and playing an early game?

If they can handle it, Zimbabwe wins. But Bangladesh have Shakib Al Hasan. The Bangladesh skipper has underperformed this tournament, but this game is the perfect opportunity to stamp his authority and get back into form.

Bangladesh to win in a last over thriller.
