The series is on the line when India host Australia at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in the third and final ODI. Join The Roar for all the action with live scores and a blog from 7pm (AEDT).
On Friday, India bounced back from an uncharacteristically poor performance with a 36-run victory over Australia.
Batting first, the hosts put 340 runs on the board. Shikhar Dhawan made 96, Lokesh Rahul added 80 to the tally before being run out, while captain Virat Kohli also scored a half-century and finished with 78.
Adam Zampa took three wickets and Kane Richardson finished with two.
Requiring almost seven an over from the word go, Australia were slow going to begin with. David Warner fell early for 15 and Aaron Finch could only contribute 33.
The top-order wickets fell around Steve Smith’s 98-run effort. Ashton Agar (25) and Richardson (24) held on for a while, though the run rate had well and truly moved beyond Australia’s reach.
Every bowler took wickets for India in the second innings; Mohammed Shami was best with three scalps.
Lokesh Rahul was named player of the match for his 80 runs from just 52 deliveries.
While the side looks fairly set at the moment, should Australia make any changes in an attempt to steal the series?
The only likely option is a change to the bowling attack, such as a swap of fast bowlers or a replacement for Ashton Agar (who only took one wicket in the first ODI).
Prediction
A blockbuster awaits us this evening. Both sides are in run-scoring form and will be on the attack to claim a series victory.
Back in their groove, India should get the job done in front of their fans.
India to win.
Can Australia outplay India like they did on Tuesday and continue an impressive summer of cricket?
