Match preview:

It’s been a two day gap before the Big Bash tournament takes a turn towards its 42nd match.

The encounter between Stars and Heat might be one in the bottom four, but it’s very much crucial to the fate of both teams in this tournament.

The Stars after having a horrendous previous season and continuing that by two loses to open the new campaign came back strongly with three wins in a row.

Then, they lost two games and won two in a row. If we go by that algorithm, the Stars are due a win -But c’mon, it’s cricket. These types of things often fail miserably here.

On the other hand, the Heat would be hoping to get, at least, four out of their next five games to have a good chance if other results also go their way.

The idea of bash brothers did work sometimes in the past, but it’s the carry-on innings by the middle order they lack.

Their middle order has to step up and Brendon McCullum will be a key, having three fifties in the season consecutively.

They’ve also been lucky in getting a point due to light failure in a condition where their comeback was close to impossible – although again, in cricket, never say impossible.
