New Zealand can’t afford any slip ups against Scotland at the T20 World Cup when the two sides face off in Dubai. Join The Roar for lives scores from 9pm (AEDT).
The Black Caps are currently in third place in Group 2 behind Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Pakistan are undefeated and have made it safely into the semi-finals but second place remains up for grabs. New Zealand are the clear favourites against Scotland but they’ll want and need a convincing win to improve their net run rate with every run and wicket crucial to decide who goes through to the semi-finals.
It has to be said that Scotland have been disappointing in the Super 12 stage of the World Cup after showing early promise in the Group games.
They’ll be desperate to show that they have what it takes to be competitive against a potential world champion team.
New Zealand is coming off a loss against the impressive Pakistan and Scotland can expect a fired up team ready to make ammends.
The Dubai pitch has been slow for the entire tournament but it should be a little more run-friendly as a day game.
