Oman and Scotland battle it out with the winner likely to be crowned winner of Group B and lock in their qualification into the Super 12s of the T20 World Cup. For the loser, their fate will come down to net run rate and they could well be packing their bags. Join The Roar for live scores from 1am (AEDT).

Oman will know that they are up against it here. Not only have they struggled to find form as a team in their opening two games, they are coming up against a Scotland side full of momentum and enthusiasm.

One of the few highlights from Oman’s opening two games has been opener Jatinder Singh, who followed up a swashbuckling 72 from 42 balls against PNG with 40 from 33 against Bangladesh. He needs help though, and Oman’s top order will need to flourish around him for them to be any chance of springing an upset.

Oman paceman Bilal Khan has been the other highlight from his country’s tournament so far – he’s leading the competition with 5 wickets so far from the two games. If teammate Zeeshan Maqsood can repeat his efforts from the PNG game, where he picked up four wickets, as well, then Oman could keep the Scottish batting line-up quiet.

This Scottish side know that they are just one win away from securing qualification to the Super 12s with an unbeaten group stage. Having knocked over Bangladesh in a major upset in their opening game, they will be full of confidence of even beating one of the Full Member nations in next week’s World Cup proper.

Richie Berrington has found some good form with the bat at the right time with a beautiful 70 against PNG in Scotland’s last game, and he’ll be crucial to his nation’s hopes. If they can deliver the same all-round performance as they did against Bangladesh then they will be far too much for Oman.
