Ashton Turner makes T20 history for the wrong reasons with nightmare record

Australian batsman Ashton Turner has made an unforunate mark on cricket history, notching up an unwanted record during the Rajasthan Royals’ loss to the Delhi Capitals.

The 26-year-old has become the first batsman in T20 cricket to register five consecutive ducks – with four of them having come off the first ball of his innings – after being dismissed by Capitals paceman Ishant Sharma.

The streak began in the Perth Scorchers’ final game of their recent BBL campaign against the Adelaide Strikers.

Obviously this means in three innings for the Royals, Turner, who was purchased in the IPL auction for $96,900 has yet to make a run.

It marks a stunning turnaround for the right-hander who in March had produced a remarkable 84 not out to guide Australia to victory in the fourth ODI against India.
