Did a third umpire blunder cost Steve Smith a boundary?

Australia ultimately pulled off the win with two balls to spare, but boundaries were hard to come by in the low-scoring contest as Steve Smith found out.

Yep, seems fairly clear it hit his knee (you see the trajectory of the ball change) whilst he was touching the rope. Not a big deal since it was only one run, but a bit odd that the third umpire only checked one angle (where the ball was mostly blocked), particularly given the player himself indicated it was a boundary.
