The cricket gods are not smiling on Glenn Maxwell after crazy dismissal

With Australia’s top order struggling in the first Test against India, Glenn Maxwell had a chance to stake his claim in the Sheffield Shield. He made it to 57 but then suffered one of the unluckiest dismissals.

Nic Maddinson crunched the ball back to West Australian bowler Matthew Kelly who dropped the caught and bowled. However, to Maxwell’s horror the ball bounced out of Kelly’s hands and onto the stumps with Maxwell caught short of his crease at the non-striker’s end.

Maxwell had shared in a 112-run partnership with Maddinson hitting eight boundaries in his 57.
