Canada needed just three runs to win in the last over against Brazil in their women’s T20 World Cup qualifier. They also had five wickets in the shed.
Brazilian bowler Laura Cardoso had the task of trying to defend the impossible and somehow she pulled it off.
After a dot ball Canada self-destructed losing five wickets in a row which included two run-outs – in between it Cardoso picked up a hat-trick in what surely must be the most unique finish to a cricket match you’ll ever see.
