In Australia’s third and final T20 international against New Zealand, Rachael Haynes produced a moment of magic to dismiss Suzie Bates.
Initially it appeared Haynes had fumbled her chance of a run out after fielding the ball at point. But despite not clutching the ball cleanly, Haynes unleashed an absolute bullet of a throw to find Bates short of her ground.
While the run out kept Australia in the game, New Zealand kept their nerve to chase down the smallish total of 123 with five wickets in hand to break Australia’s 13-game winning streak.
