Perth Ground Zero were one of six esports clubs competing in the Gfinity Elite Series. They were an offshoot of existing esports franchise Ground Zero Gaming.
Ground Zero never quite hit their stride during the two seasons of Elite Series play. Because the Elite Series regularly clashed with more prestigious tournaments, Ground Zero often dominated the regular season, only to get washed away once the bigger clubs brought back their top players at finals time. Ground Zero still competes today in Counter-Strike, Rocket League, Overwatch, Street Fighter, PUBG and Fortnite.
