Originally known as the glamour club of the A-League, Sydney FC have lured big marquee names to the club over the years, while enjoying healthy success.
Sydney FC dominated the A-League from the very get-go last season, winning 15 of their first 18 matches to have the premiership wrapped up well before the postponement. Despite resuming in shocking form – winning one of six matches after the break – they didn’t concede a goal in the finals, knocking off Perth (2-0) and Melbourne City (1-0 in extra time) to claim their fifth title.
It looks very likely that A-League fans will be in for a repeat dose this season, with Sydney FC starting strong favourites to claim their third consecutive A-League championship.
