Argentine nails the first hole-in-one at The Open in three years

He may not be the biggest name at the 2019 British Open but Emiliano Grillo nonetheless still managed to provide the shot of the tournament’s opening day.

On the par-three 13th, Grillo needed just one stroke to find the hole.

The stunning shot marks the first hole-in-one at The Open since 2016.

While the 26-year-old got back to even as a result of the shot, he would, unfortunately, falter over the remaining holes to finish the first round at two-over-par.

Meanwhile, J. B. Holmes has emerged as the early leader, having produced a round of five-under-par.
