Anyone can contribute to The Roar and have their work featured alongside some of Australia’s most prominent sports journalists.
The Roar is one of the fastest growing sports sites in Australia.
Since launching in late 2007, The Roar has grown to reach peaks of over 1,600,000 unique browsers monthly.
Each month, The Roar publishes over 400 edited fan articles (Roar of the crowds) and 40,000 comments. Every three days, the equivalent of War and Peace (560,000 words) is written on our site by our highly engaged audience.
We know how to build and run compelling, beautifully executed sites which reach hard-to-reach audiences. We’re now offering opportunities to be involved in this growing business.
As a small team, we’re seeking smart people who are great to work with, are passionate about our site and want to be involved in a growing company.
(All enquiries will be treated with the strictest confidentiality)
The Roar live blogs most sports events and we receive up to 200,000 people reading each live blog. This is your chance to commentate on the sports you love. We also have budget for paid live bloggers for those who stand out – but you’ll need to trial with us.
We’re always on the look-out for passionate video producers who want to contribute to Roar TV. As a member of our video team, you’ll have the opportunity create clips of your favourite teams and sporting moments that are viewed by thousands of people every month.
If you love The Roar and are after some experience working in sports media, we often take on interns in our Sydney office to let you learn the ropes and help keep the site up and running.
