PlayUp is an Australian owned bookmaker offering markets on every major sport and racing market you can think of, with competitive odds and very friendly customer service
Based in Sydney and licensed in the Northern Territory, PlayUp was launched as a consolidation of several smaller bookmakers including TopBetta, betting.club, ClassicBet and MadBookie. They are one of the fastest growing bookmakers in Australia and have recently expanded into the US.
We’ve explored what PlayUp has to offer account holders in relation to markets, odds, interface use and odds in our full review below.

Further to this, PlayUp also offers a lot of weird and wonderful niche markets with categories including the Elections and Entertainment, which can be found by clicking on ‘More Markets’.
PlayUp has all the racing markets a punter would expect with Multi bets and Exotics including Quinellas, Exactas, Trifectas, First Fours and Quaddies. They also have a huge range of sports betting markets including Match Odds, Totals, Lines plus additional options on game day such as Individual Player markets.
Looking at some random markets, we checked to see what odds the Houston Rockets were paying against the LA Clippers (2nd November 2022) and at the time of checking the odds were as follows:

PlayUp was one of the most competitive bookies for the H2H market.It makes sense to bet where you can get the best returns and while sports markets tend to be closer in price between bookies, it’s likely you’ll find even better odds at PlayUp compared to other bookies in racing.
Upon creating a PlayUp account, it was a simple process to get verified and make our first deposit with options including Visa, Mastercard, EFT, BPAY, POLi and CashUp.
PlayUp’s site is incredibly easy to navigate with links for ‘Next to Race’ thoroughbred, harness, and greyhounds (Australian and international races) at the top and all current featured markets displayed on the left-side menu.
PlayUp’s layout is very similar to other popular online bookmakers which helps punters to feel right at home among the ‘dark’ themed platform with their signature green accents.
It’s worth noting that the pop out form guides available on the desktop site are really useful for racing punters.
The mobile site is an optimized version of the desktop platform where the interface has been simplified for easier use on a mobile device.
Apps for Android and iOS devices are available through Google Play and the App Store respectively, with both apps extremely easy and intuitive to use.
Due to strict regulations, bookmakers are no longer allowed to promote any special deposit bonuses or deposit matches as these are considered an ‘inducement’ to open an account. You must create an account and log in to see their latest offers.

Like all reputable, licensed bookmakers, PlayUp offers responsible gambling help. If your gambling is getting out of hand or to be more than you can afford, you can set limits to how much you deposit, and have the option to temporarily or permanently self-exclude.
There are a few missing features that could improve the app such as same race multis and a cash out option for multis, however our account manager told us there is a roadmap to add in all of this functionality in the coming months.
