The Canterbury Bulldogs will be eyeing off a rare win when they host the nomadic New Zealand Warriors. Join The Roar for live scores from 2pm (AEST).
The Bulldogs fell agonisingly short last week against Wests Tigers, but have been impressive since caretaker coach Steve Georgallis replaced Dean Pay.
The Warriors have enjoyed a similar boost in form over the last month, defying horrible circumstances to notch wins over the Wests Tigers and the Manly Sea Eagles.
There’s a big name back on the Bulldogs team sheet, with Will Hopoate making his return at fullback. Nick Meaney shifts to the wing, with Dallin Watene-Zelezniak again left out of the starting side.
Aiden Tolman also starts for the suspended Dylan Napa, while Luke Thompson drops back to the bench.
For the Warriors, Hayze Perham gets a rare start with Adam Pompey moving to the wing. Isaiah Papali’i starts for the suspended Eliesa Katoa.
Motivation is probably stronger for the Bulldogs, who are now heads-up with the Broncos for wooden-spoon honours. The Warriors have been plucky recently though, and will view this as a very winnable game.
