The last-place Canterbury Bulldogs will be hoping to make it two upsets in as many weeks when they host the Parramatta Eels at ANZ Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 2pm (AEST).
The Bulldogs pulled off one of the upsets of the season last Sunday, racing out to an 18-0 lead against the heavily-favoured Newcastle Knights, before withstanding a late fightback to prevail 18-12. The win wasn’t enough to move them off the bottom of the ladder, but it was an important step forward.
It’ll be tough to make it two straight, however, with the high-flying Eels coming to visit. Parramatta did what they had to in a difficult 26-16 win over Wests Tigers last week, moving to third on the ladder – just one point behind the competition leaders.
These sides met in the season-opener back in March, with Parra prevailing 8-2 in a dour affair. The Eels have an excellent recent record against the Doggies, claiming wins in seven of their last nine encounters.
