The Bulldogs can’t seem to have anything go right for them this year. Sitting at the bottom of the ladder at the start of the round, they were comprehensively trounced last week by the inconsistent Tigers. Things won’t get any easier against the Rabbitohs today.
Souths haven’t been at their best in 2020, but there have been signs of improvement in recent weeks. They might have gone down to the Panthers last week, but there was no shame in the 20-12 scoreline against one of the premiership contenders.
As such, Wayne Bennett has made just one change for today’s match: James Roberts comes into the starting side at centre in place of Braidon Burns, who shifts to the bench.
The Bulldogs, on the other hand, have made considerable changes on the back of last week’s loss. Will Hopoate and Jake Averillo are both out injured, Christian Crichton and Nick Meanie are inclusions on the wings, Marcello Montoya comes into the centres and Dallin Watene-Zelezniak moves to fullback.
