Two under-siege clubs face off on this Queen’s Birthday public holiday when the St George Illawarra Dragons take on the Canterbury Bulldogs. Join The Roar for live scores from 4:05pm (AEST).
Dragons coach Paul McGregor is under all kinds of pressure to turn around his side’s woeful start to the season. Losing the first two matches of the year was hardly ideal, but going scoreless against the Warriors last weekend has club supporters baying for change.
Mary has made a number of changes, shifting Corey Norman to fullback and Ben Hunt to five-eighth and bringing in debutant halfback Adam Clune. Matt Dufty has been dropped, as have Korbin Simms and Tyrell Fuimaono.
The Bulldogs were also on the end of a hammering last week, shipping 32 points against a rampant Manly side. Having built a reputation since halfway through 2019 as an honest defensive side – if an offensively challenged one – they’ll be looking to tighten things up against a Dragons outfit which has looked flat in attack all season.
There’s some good news on the selection front for Dogs fans, with Kieran Foran making his return from injury and slotting straight back into the halves.
