Show Preview
A potential elimination preview gets underway, as the Cronulla Sharks tackle the Canberra Raiders at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 5:30pm (AEST).
The Sharks have a finals spot wrapped up, but have stumbling a bit over the last few weeks. Unless other matches throw up crazy results, they’ll be playing the Raiders again in an elimination final next week so a good showing here before the real thing is important.
Canberra, on the other hand, could sneak into the top four with a win and a Parramatta loss, but have decided to play it safe and rest several stars. After labouring through a tough first half of the year, the Raiders have come good of late and come into this one having won five of their last six.
Cronulla lost both meetings against Canberra last season but they were both narrow affairs; 22-20 in the nation’s capital and 15-14 at Shark Park. Prior to 2019, the Sharks had won four of five against the Raiders.
