Two teams at the wrong end of the ladder meet in Queensland today when the Gold Coast Titans host the New Zealand Warriors. Keep up to date with the action with live scores from 6pm (AEST).
It’s been a bleak season for both these teams, although given neither are currently in 16th place, you could argue they’re exceeding expectations so far. Certainly New Zealand’s win over the Broncos last week was a boost for the club, as was the Titans’ victory against the same side a fortnight ago – even if their last outing (a 30-point loss to the Sharks) was far less so.
Fresh off the win, the Warriors will be lifted further by the return of skipper Roger Tuivasa-Sheck from suspension. The dynamic fullback has a superb tryscoring record against tonight’s opposition, having hit the scoresheet in five of his last six against the Gold Coast. The news isn’t as good for Gerard Beale and Kodi Nikorima, both of whom will miss this match, although Jazz Tevaga joins RTS on the ‘ins’ list.
The Titans have tinkered with their side, moving Tyrone Peachey to the bench and Corey Thompson to fullback. Mitch Rein is out with an ankle injury, replaced at no.9 by Erin Clark.
