It’s a battle between two struggling clubs as the New Zealand Warriors take on the Brisbane Broncos. Join The Roar for live scores from 5:30pm (AEST).

If the Warriors thought sacking former coach Stephen Kearney would bring about an immediate reversal of the team’s fortunes, they were wrong. The New Zealand side conceded 50 points to Melbourne last week, although the Storm’s current form indicates they won’t be the only ones to get touched up by the men in purple this year.

And in the Broncos, the Warriors are going up against a side in even worse form than their own. Brisbane are the only club to have not won a game since the competition restart, and last week’s loss to the Titans was a particularly low point. Another poor result today and Anthony Siebold may be in danger of joining Kearney in the coaching casualty list.

Things don’t get any better for the Broncos with key forwards Matt Lodge (knee injury) and Joe Ofahengaue (suspension) both out of this clash. Corey Oates was originally dropped from the matchday squad, but is set to play as a bench forward in Lodge’s absence.

The Warriors don’t have much good news on the selection front either. Captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is suspended, while the Roosters have ended Poasa Faamausili’s loan spell, resulting in a major forward-pack reshuffle.
