The New Zealand Warriors and Cronulla Sharks square off in Redcliffe for Sunday night NRL. Join The Roar for live scores from 6:15pm AEST.

It’s been another tough week for the Warriors and there’s a lot of talk about the club’s future and what they can do to turn things around both on and off the field.

The Warriors have been forced to rejig their plans with Matt Lodge, Euan Aitken and now former coach Nathan Brown telling the club they didn’t want to commit to a return to Auckland next year.

Stacey Jones has a tough time ahead as interim coach but if he can prove himself in the short-term he could be the long-term answer to developing the side and making New Zealand great again.

The Warriors received a boost with lock Josh Curran making a welcome return from a six-game injury lay-off with a knee injury. Curran has come onto the bench for hooker Taniela Otukolo who had just 10 minutes on the field against the Sea Eagles last Saturday in the heavy defeat which signalled the end of Nathan Brown’s time as coach.

For the Sharks, Nicho Hynes was 18th man for NSW but unlikely to get any game time. Jesse Ramien is back at centre after a three-game ban, sending Connor Tracey to the reserves.
