The in-form New Zealand Warriors play host to a Parramatta Eels side looking to rediscover their mojo. Join The Roar for live scores from 4:05pm (AEST).
The Warriors crushed the Newcastle Knights in Tamworth, to keep their hopes of an unlikely run to the finals alive. That would’ve sounded like insanity six weeks ago, yet the plucky Kiwi side has won four out of their last five to be on of the form sides in the NRL.
The one loss during that run was a narrow one at the hands of the pole-sitting Penrith Panthers, and they will fancy their chances against an Eels team woefully out of form.
Parramatta was left stunned after being held to zero by Souths in a 38-0 rout. Not only was it the first time the Eels have been duck-egged at their shiny new stadium, it was also unsurprisingly the Eels’ largest margin of defeat at the venue.
Brad Arthur’s side will be desperate to improve their form before the finals commence. However, the Warriors have played a methodical brand of football of late which could really trouble the Eels. Parra should be too good, but only just.
