The St George Illawarra Dragons will put their NRLW season on the line in a must-win game when the competition has its first-ever stand-alone game in Auckland as they take on the New Zealand Warriors. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 1:15pm (AEST).

Following the Broncos victory over the Roosters yesterday, as well as the Warriors shock victory over the Roosters last weekend, a win for the Auckland-based club here will seal a Brisbane-New Zealand grand final.

Should the Dragons manage to come away with the win, they would join the Warriors on a one and one record, meaning both sides would be in the hunt next week, and it could well come down to for and against.

The Sydney Roosters will also be cheering on the Dragons here, hoping for a similar scenario to last year where three sides finished with a single victory, although their for and against took a beating yesterday.

The Warriors were surprisingly good last week in their upset victory over the Sydney Roosters, coming away with a victory on the road despite being the far less fancied of the two sides.

Their forward pack held their own, and more importantly, were able to play for the entire 80 minutes, while the role Krystal Rota, Apii Nicholls and Georgia Hale played was outstanding.

It was the kicking game of Charntay Poko though, on debut in the competition, which stood out as the key performance of the game, and she will need to be good again, putting a dangerous Dragons back three under the pump.

While the Dragons fell to the Broncos, they didn’t feel too far away from getting it right, with combinations between Botille Vette-Walsh, Kimiora Nati, Maddie Studdon and Brittany Breayley just not quite clicking.

If they can get it right on the back of a strong forward pack though, they are going to be hard to beat, although the suspension of Maitua Feterika won’t help their cause this weekend in trying to deal with the Warriors starting prop rotation of Annetta Nuuausala and Aieshaleigh Smalley, who were superb last week.

Prediction
The Dragons have a lot of class through their side, and while the trip to Auckland won’t be an easy one, they should have what it takes to get the job done.

Dragons by 4.
