Newcastle’s Tyson Frizell suffered a hamstring strain last Friday against Cronulla in his 200th game but has been named in an otherwise unchanged 17.
While for the Sea Eagles it’s been a tough time for injuries.
Tolu Koula has been ruled out with a calf injury. He had been initially chosen at fullback with Tom Trbojevic sidelined for a month with a knee injury. Instead it will be Reuben Garrick at fullback now with Christian Tuipolotu heading to the wing and Brad Parker promoted from the bench to centre after missing last week’s win over Canberra with COVID.
Dylan Walker has passed a fitness test on his quad injury and will play.
Despite all this Newcastle are only slight favourites in this one but they’ll feel like this is a game they simply must win. At home on a Thursday night with a big crowd. Let’s play football!
