The Newcastle Knights have been in fine form but the Melbourne Storm will pose a stern challenge for the men from the Hunter. Join The Roar for live scores from 5:30pm (AEST).
Undefeated after four rounds and sitting comfortably in second on the ladder, Newcastle have been one of the surprises of the 2020 season so far. Their gutsy draw with Penrith two weeks ago was all about character, while the manner in which they dealt with premiership contenders Canberra last week proves there’s plenty of skill to go with their mettle.
Melbourne also find themselves at the right end of the ladder, a single point behind today’s opponents, but their form hasn’t been convincing in the last two weeks. They might have emerged from last round’s encounter against Souths with a win, but it wasn’t the type of dominant performance we’ve come to expect from Craig Bellamy’s men.
The Storm have been forced into a change in the halves, with Ryley Jacks coming into the side for Jahrome Hughes, who has a broken hand. However, there is some talk that Jacks won’t actually start at halfback.
The Knights have unsurprisingly named an unchanged side.
