The North Queensland Cowboys are hoping for a dignified end to their home-and-away season against the raging Penrith Panthers at QCB Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 6pm (AEST).

It’s been a season to forget for the Cowboys in 2020 and it simply can’t end soon enough. In a year they were supposed to return to the top eight, they instead find themselves entrenched in the bottom four with just four wins to their name. They did, however, snap their nine-game losing streak two weeks ago with a one-point win over the Dragons.

It’s a totally different story for the Penrith Panthers, who still sit atop the NRL ladder after racking up their 13th consecutive win with 20-2 demolition of arch-rivals Parramatta last week. They’ve lost just once all season and will hope to use tonight as a tune-up before the crunch of finals time.

The Panthers knocked off North Queensland 22-10 when they met in Round 10 earlier this year, although the Cowboys had triumphed in the previous two meetings. Penrith have lost on six of their last seven visits to Townsville.
