The Brisbane Broncos and the Sydney Roosters face off in the grand final of the inaugural NRLW competition at ANZ Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 1:35pm (AEST).

In what has been a landmark season for the women’s game, the best two sides throughout the competition meet in a decider that will etch the victors’ name in history.

The Broncos enter the match as the minor premiers and slight favourites after a perfect season to this point. The Roosters come into the contest after a sparkling and resounding win over the Dragons that qualified them for the decider.

Dally M Medal winner Brittany Breayley will again be the lynchpin for the Broncos; scheming round the rucks, and her season was duly rewarded at the ceremony earlier this week.

Along with Ali Brigginshaw, she holds the key to success for the northerners and if the chooks have any hope of victory, both must be managed and shut down to some extent.

All eyes will be on Isabelle Kelly in the centres for the Roosters. One of the most talented and powerful athletes in the game, the 22-year-old impressed in her representative appearances during the World Cup earlier in the year. She takes a power of stopping out wide thanks to her sheer strength and speed.

Zahara Temara will also be important for the locals. Her control of the tempo of the game and service to the backs needs to be spot on if the team from New South Wales are to seriously challenge the Queenslanders.

Prediction
The Broncos look the form team and should be able to engrave their name on the trophy as the first ever winners of the NRLW. In fact, they might just run away with it in the second half.
