The season is on the line for the Penrith Panthers and the New Zealand Warriors in the first elimination final of the NRL season. Join The Roar for live scores and a blog of the match from 5:30pm (AEST).

The Panthers finished fifth on the ladder and will start the match as slight favourites, despite the fact that the Warriors beat them 36-16 across the ditch just two weeks ago.

After weeks of indifferent form, Penrith fans will be hoping their team turned the corner with their win over the Storm last weekend at AAMI Park – a win that denied Melbourne the minor premiership.

Coach Cameron Ciraldo has made one change to last week’s line-up, as backrower Corey Harawira-Naera returns from a week off due to concussion, replacing young firebrand Jack Hetherington on the bench.

The Warriors finished eighth and head into the match on the back of a win over Canberra at home in Auckland last week. They’ll be bolstered by the return of five-eighth Blake Green from a calf injury, replacing Mason Lino.

Coach Stephen Kearney has also named outside back Gerard Beale on the bench, in place of Chris Satae.

Prediction
It’s the first time they Kiwis have played finals football since 2011 and they’ll be pumped for a big performance.
