The Panthers return home to Penrith to face off against The New Zealand Warriors. Join The Roar from 6:00pm (AEST) for live scores and coverage.

Penrith were torn apart in the first half last week against The Tigers, conceding 26 points in the first 20 minutes. While they tightened up defensively, it wasn’t enough to avoid the loss.

The Warriors had better fortunes last round, coming from behind to defeat the Dragons with four second-half tries.

Ivan Cleary has wielded the axe with Josh Mansour, Wayde Egan and Reagan Campbell-Gillard all omitted from the squad.

They are joined by Caleb Aekins who after a few weeks in the No.1 shirt has been named in the reserves.

Sione Katoa has come in to replace Egan in the No.9 and Dylan Edwards will replace Caleb Aekins.

Waqa Blake and Liam Martin both return from their one-week suspensions, and Winger Brian To’o is set to make his NRL debut on the wing.

In contrast, The Warriors have named an unchanged side. Starting hooker, Nathaniel Roache does have an injury cloud hanging over him, but he should be ok to go. Isaac Luke has been put on stand by in case.

Prediction:
If the Panthers start as slowly as they did last week, it could get ugly. The changes made that are intended to motivate the squad might negate this, but the Warriors will likely prove too strong anyway.
