The South Sydney Rabbitohs are doing just enough to stay clear of the bottom eight. They host a Manly Sea Eagles side clinging desperately to their finals hopes. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:35pm (AEST).

Souths have Adam Reynolds to thank for stealing a win after trailing late in North Queensland.

Manly’s wretched luck continued against Newcastle, with an injury to stand-in fullback Brendan Elliot further souring a two-point loss.

For Souths, Bayley Sironen slots into the second row for the suspended Liam Knight, and Jack Johns makes his third NRL appearance via the pine.

There’s some rare good news for Manly coach Des Hasler, with Marty Taupau returning, allowing Jake Trbojevic to revert to his favoured lock position. Taupau’s front-row partner Addin Fonua-Blake is named on an extended bench, and would be a massive inclusion for the away side.

Joel Thompson will play, pending the swelling of his gruesome tongue injury. Jorge Taufua returns on the wing after being mysteriously dropped last week.

Motivation should be strong for both sides, with Souths defending the last finals position, and Manly already in must-win territory.
