A local rivalry which both sides will be desperate to win is the final game of Round 5 with the St George Illawarra Dragons taking on the Cronulla Sharks. Join The Roar for live scores from 6:30pm (AEST).

Dragons coach Paul McGregor might have been given a stay of execution last week, but that doesn’t mean his need for a win is any less dire. His St George side are still yet to score a single try since the NRL restarted, and remain the only winless team in the competition.

As such it was a surprise that the only two changes made on Tuesday were injury-enforced ones – Euan Aitken for Brayden Wiliame in the centres and Tyrell Fuimaono in for second-rower Tariq Sims. However, it has been reported the team which will actually run out today will look significantly different to the 17 initially named.

Things are rosier at Cronulla where, after a turbulent restart which saw Bronson Xerri suspended and the team give up a lead to lose late to the Tigers, the Sharks flipped it around with a win in Townsville last weekend.

Making things better for coach John Morris are the expected returns of Andrew Fifita and Chad Townsend. Fifita will slot straight into the front row, while Townsend takes back his no.7 jersey and pushes Matt Moylan to fullback.
