The Brisbane Broncos face an almighty task to turn their fortunes around when they travel to the SCG to take on the Sydney Roosters Check out our live scores page for this match on The Roar from 5:30pm (AEST).
The Roosters have at times this year appeared to be attempting to prove that their seconds team is still better than most other sides in the NRL. Now, however, they’re starting to get the band back together, with Trent Robinson able to field an unchanged 17 for the first time in a long while.
James Tedesco has made the SCG his own in recent years, scoring eight tries in his past seven matches at the venue. Stopping the Roosters skipper will prove to be a monolithic task for the travelling Broncos.
Kevin Walters made no secret of his displeasure after the Broncos’ ugly loss to Manly last week, labelling his charges as “soft”. A 44-point loss to mid-table Manly doesn’t bode well ahead of an away trip, especially against the attacking might of the Roosters.
The Broncos were massacred twice by the Sydneysiders in 2020, conceding 117 points to them in two matches. While the Roosters’ list of outs makes another result like that unlikely, you can’t rule it out either.
