The Sydney Roosters are looking to bounce back from a first-round loss against Queensland rivals, the Brisbane Broncos, riding high after an impressive season opener. Join The Roar from 5:15pm (AEST) for live coverage of the match.

The Sydney Roosters must win to keep their grand final hopes alive following a tight loss at the hands of the Warriors 10-4 in Round 1.

Adam Hartigan’s team is set to be boosted by the return of Ruan Sims who was sidelined from their season opener with a hamstring injury. Her inclusion in the front row will be important after the tricolours were dominated through the middle of the park against a much bigger Warriors pack.

The Roosters fell victim to too many forced errors against the Warriors and will require a big effort in the middle of the park while completing their sets.

It will be imperative that they use their strike power out wide through Isabelle Kelly on the left edge and Shontelle Stowers on the right edge.

Stowers will play inside of Sharon McGrady who comes onto the wing with Karina Brown moving to fullback in place of Botille Vette-Welsh.

The Brisbane Broncos announced themselves as premiership favourites with a 30-4 thrashing of the St George Illawarra Dragons at Suncorp Stadium.

The Queensland team were very impressive across the park with Ali Brigginshaw and Chelsea Baker leading the team around the park.

Their forwards were extremely effective with Maitua Feterika and Teuila Fotu-Moala producing big performances in the back row while Ngatokotoru Arakua made a huge impact off the bench.

Their outside backs looked vulnerable in defence with PNG international Amelia Kuk missing eleven tackles.

Paul Dyer has made the call to drop Kuk with Meg Ward moving into the centres and Karley Te Kawa taking her place on the wing.

Prediction
The Roosters will register their first win of the season with a hard-fought victory over the Broncos.
