Dragons cleanout has brought success

The Dragons continue to excel now that they have punted their three great pretenders: Jason Ryles, Mark Gasnier, and the worst coach in rugby league history, Nathan Brown.

Jason Ryles was built like the Incredible Hulk but played like Peter Pan.

He should have been belting blokes like the Chief, Spud and Cement used to do. Instead, he would be giving away niggling penalties and spending the match sledging the ref.

He’s better suited to filing in spare time playing foolish football in France.

Gasnier had plenty of ability but was another one whose mouth matched whatever ability he had. With an ego that was out of control, Bennett would have been happy to see him playing in a pink jersey for some unheard of rugby club also in France.

What summed up Nathan Browns coaching career was his very last match at the Dragons.

Having decided to play Soward instead of the dud player, Ben Rogers, the players told him they wanted Rogers instead of Soward. Brown, despite six years experience, let the players make the call and the Dragons got thumped by Manly.

The Dragons have gone from the worst coach in history to the second best behind Jack Gibson.
